Graduating from Canterbury University in 1992 with an Honours degree in Structural Engineering, Tanya worked in Auckland and London before joining the company in 2000.
She became a director of Thorburn Consultants (NZ) Ltd in 2004. Working with the company’s existing client base and developing new clients, she celebrated 20 years as a company director in 2024.
With over 35 years in the industry, Tanya’s experience covers large commercial, retail and industrial building, apartments, power and water utility building, office building, swimming pools, recreation and park structures.
Roger became a Director of Hanson Thorburn and Davidson in 1973. Over the next 30 years he worked on a huge variety of engineering projects passing his knowledge on to many young engineers.
He handed over the reins to Tanya 2004 and moved into the role of company chairman.
Roger continues to develop opportunities for the company and has over 40 years experience in the industry, which covers commercial and industrial development, infrastructure systems, hydro electric and geothermal power projects and seismic assessments.
